The Government of Punjab has launched the Chief Minister’s Laptop Program 2024–25, aiming to empower students through digital access. A total of 110,000 free laptops will be distributed to deserving students in public sector institutions. The primary eligibility condition is biometric thumb verification through NADRA’s e-Sahulat Centers.
Who Is Eligible?
To qualify for the laptop scheme, students must:
- Be enrolled in public sector universities, colleges, medical or technical institutions in Punjab
- Maintain good academic performance
- Possess a valid CNIC or B-Form
- Complete biometric verification via NADRA
Distribution Timeline
- Biometric Verification Start Date: April 24, 2025
- First Phase Distribution Ceremony: April 30, 2025 (7,000 laptops to be distributed initially)
Selected Institutions
The first phase includes top-performing public institutions across Punjab. The official list is being released by the Directorate of Public Instructions (Colleges), Punjab.
Biometric Verification Details
- NADRA teams will be stationed at designated campuses
- e-Sahulat Centers will be located on or near selected institutions
- Students will be notified by their institutions regarding verification schedules
